Presented by Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), Aboriginal Day Live brings Canadians together in celebration of Aboriginal Peoples’ unparalleled contribution to Canada, through cultural activities and live music, highlighting the important relationship we share together. Every year, over 45,000 people attend the free celebration held at The Forks. Millions of Canadians join the live multi-platform broadcast of the evening concert and spark the social media conversation as well. On National Aboriginal Day, June 21, 2017, Aboriginal Day Live (ADL) will mark a year unlike any other. The upcoming edition will expand its grassroots to reach even more Aboriginal communities
APTN is seeking emerging artists from across Canada to perform at the ADL Pre-Show. Emerging artists bring new and fresh elements to the stage. APTN welcomes our communities’ creators in their early career stages and who are building their performance portfolios. Hours will be 6:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. Each performance will be 10-20 minutes.
